| PE, polyethylene |

|
|
| High molecular polyethylene have excellent tribological properties and high impact strength, even at low temperatures. PE does not absorb water and the chemical resistance is excellent. It has good electrical properties, low permittivity and loss and high resistivity. It also withstands high energetic radiation, but not UV. It has modest mechanical properties; low strength and stiffness, and tends to creep. |
