| PCTFE, polychlorotrifluoroethylene |
View Material Data |
| PCTFE has very good mechanical properties, e.g. compression and creep strength with little deformation under load. The melting point and maximum service temperature are lower than for some other fluoroplastics, but the mechanical properties are unchanged even at cryogenic temperatures. PCTFE has exceptional barrier properties and the lowest permeability for water vapour of all plastics. It is attacked only by a few halogenated hydrocarbons and aromatic solvents. |
