| POM, polyoxymethylene, polyacetal |

| POM is a hard, stiff and tough plastic, with low friction and excellent wear and creep resistance over a broad temperature range. The low glass transition temperatures, -40 C for the homopolymer and -60 C for the copolymer make them tough even at very low temperatures. Top continuous service temperature is 90-105 C (POM-H) and 100-115 (POM-C), short term ca 150 C (POM-H) and 140 C (POM-C). POM has excellent machinability. |

| POM-H, homopolymer: |
| Well-known under the tradename Delrin, the homopolymer POM-H has higher mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and creep resistance than the copolymer, and lower rate of thermal expansion. compared to the copolymer. Its wear resistance is often better. POM has rather low water absorption, good chemical resistance in general. |
